A Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka has sent a condolence message to the family of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu over the death of their parents, Eze Israel and Sally Kanu.
Fox Channel reported that there was obvious tension in Afaraukwu community as all is set for the burial of Eze Israel Kanu and his wife, the parents of the IPOB leader, Kanu which holds today.
The burial ceremony will hold in Isiama Afaraukwu in the Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
It was observed on Thursday that there was heavy presence of policemen at the command’s headquarters ready for action during the burial
The erstwhile Chief Executive of the Federal Road Safety Commission in a condolence message posted on his social media handles said his thoughts and prayers are with Kanu’s family at this time.
“I condole with the family of @MAZ1NNAMDIKANU on the burial of their parents Eze Israel and Sally Kanu today at Afaraukwu, Umuahia. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.”
Chidoka said he prays for a peaceful funeral.
“I join in prayers for peaceful and successful funeral and Lord’s mercy upon the departed”, he said.
